LAPD Cadets recently had the opportunity to attend a special event hosted by the USC GEMS program, celebrating and welcoming its newest group of students.
GEMS students have played an important role in supporting our cadets through the Financial Literacy Program, sharing valuable lessons on money management, financial decision-making, and entrepreneurship. The event brought together students, guest speakers, program partners, and members of the community to recognize the program’s continued impact and celebrate the beginning of a new year.
Several cadets who previously completed the Financial Literacy Program and are currently participating in the Entrepreneurship class were invited to attend. In addition to representing the Cadet Program, they had the opportunity to network with USC students and professionals, learn more about higher education, and make connections that may support their future academic and career goals.
The event was a great success and served as another example of the positive partnership between USC GEMS and the LAPD Cadet Program. We are grateful for the continued support, mentorship, and opportunities provided to our youth and look forward to continuing this partnership.
