Week 8 at the Cadet Leadership Academy was another exciting and educational day for our recruits. Recruits had the opportunity to hear from officers assigned to specialized LAPD Units, including the Mounted Unit and SWAT, who shared insight into their unique responsibilities, training, and experiences in the field. The presentations gave recruits a closer look at the many career paths and opportunities within law enforcement while reinforcing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication.
The day continued with a financial literacy class, where recruits learned valuable lessons about budgeting, smart financial decisions, and planning for the future. Cadets then closed out the academy day with PT, continuing to challenge themselves physically and build resilience as they progress through the program.
