This past Saturday, November 23rd, the LAPD Cadet Program proudly celebrated the graduation of Class 08-2024 at USC Bovard Auditorium. It was a day filled with pride, accomplishment, and inspiration as 163 cadets officially joined.
The event featured keynote speaker Cynthia Romero, a former Cadet Chief who has built an impressive career and now serves as the Director of Campus Safety and Security with Joffe Emergency Services. Her inspiring words reminded our cadets of the endless opportunities available to them through dedication and service.
Adding to the excitement of the day, the CADET POST EXCELLENCE AWARD for Class 08-2024 was presented to USC Post, recognizing their outstanding achievements and commitment to the program’s values.
We also celebrated the remarkable achievements of our scholarship winners, whose hard work and dedication set a shining example for their peers.
Another highlight of the ceremony was the presence of our new LAPD Chief, Jim McDonnell, attending his very first cadet graduation. His support and encouragement symbolize the department’s continued commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
Congratulations to all graduates, award winners, and the entire cadet family for making this event a tremendous success.
