This week, recruits were issued their Class A uniforms-a proud milestone that represents their progress and commitment. These are the uniforms the will wear on graduation day, serving as a reminder of the discipline and effort they’ve invested throughout the academy.
Recruits also received a presentation on the Police Orientation Preparation Program (POPP), a two =-year associate degree program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in law enforcement and other public service careers. The session provided valuable insight into future opportunities and pathways within the profession.
Physical training remained a key focus with the second Physical Fitness Qualifier (PFQ). Many recruits demonstrated significant improvement from their first assessment, pushing past their limits and showing the results of their hard work and consistency.
The day concluded with an important and impactful lesson on sexual harassment, reinforcing the academy’s’ commitment to professionalism, respect, and accountability- both within the program and in future careers.
As we reach the halfway point of the academy, it’s clear how much progress has already been made-and with that momentum, graduation will be here before we know it.
