Week 3 of the Cadet Academy gave recruits another exciting and educational day filled with valuable presentations and physical training.
Throughout the day, recruits had the opportunity to learn from several special guest speakers, including the LAPD K9 Unit, Bomb Squad, and Detective Lee, who gave an important presentation on Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). These presentations gave recruits a closer look at specialized units within the Department while also raising awareness about important safety topics that affect youth today.
To close out the day, recruits took part in a fun and energetic PT session that included calisthenics, running, and relay races. It was a great way to build teamwork, stay active, and end the day on a strong note.
This week was a great balance of learning, engagement, and physical fitness as recruits continue building discipline, knowledge, and confidence throughout the academy.
